Global Universities Alliance for Cultural Rights. A cooperation network among universities

During the International Conference “The Role of Parliaments in the Development of Cultural Rights”, organized by Professor Pier Luigi Petrillo of UnitelmaSapienza University of Rome and Professor Francisco Humberto Cunha Filho of the University of Fortaleza, the Global Universities Alliance for Cultural Rights was formally launched.

The Alliance is a voluntary network of universities and university research centers, founded on a commitment to safeguard, promote, and put cultural rights into practice worldwide through research, education, community partnerships, and policy dialogue, in solidarity with all peoples and cultures. The Alliance is rooted in the ultimate goal of strengthening and informing the global debate on cultural rights by promoting international academic exchange that supports diversity, encourages attentive listening, and embraces a plurality of perspectives. In particular, it aims to serve as a free and safe platform for the exchange of perspectives, methods, findings, and experiences on cultural rights. It is an international network, without legal personality, non-profit, and based on membership.

Any university professor working on these issues may join and become part of it.
