Data Protection Officer

From the 25th of May 2018, Italy applies the new EU General Data Protection Regulation. The new discipline harmonizes the rules of the countries of the Union and represents the largest reform in this sector in the last quarter of a century.

Among the innovations introduced with the Regulation, is the new role of the Data Protection Officer. The designated person is responsible for advice and support to the owner or controller of data, both in public administrations and in those companies that make particular use of data processing or use particular categories of data.
