Unitelma Sapienza, in collaboration with the Interdepartmental Research Centre CEMAS of Sapienza University of Rome, proposes the first edition of the master on International cooperation, finance and development, to provide a broad education in international cooperation and economic development.

Objectives

The Master focuses on issues related to development and growth both in developing and emerging countries as well as in the backward regions of developed countries. It is designed to provide a broad education in international cooperation and economic development by enabling students to acquire critical views that could help in understanding public and private policies within the international cooperation framework. It also provides specialized knowledge on planning practices and project management. Master graduates will be prepared to manage international cooperation and development projects in different sectors, consistently with their training and experience, within a variety of organizations including International institutions, Public Administration, NGOs and private companies.

Contents

The Master is articulated into 5 sections (6 subjects) focusing on issues related to the development and growth both in developing and emerging countries as well in the backward areas of developed countries. Understanding the processes of social change, economic development, globalization and international trade within different political, cultural, economic and environmental contexts, are the focus of the Master’s course.

Admission requirements and career opportunities

The enrolment in the Master’s requires the completion of an undergraduate degree, obtained after a minimum of 3 years of study (180 ECTS).
The Master’s graduates will be prepared to analyse and manage projects of international cooperation and development in different sectors, consistently with their training and experience, within a variety of organizations including International institutions, Public Administration, NGOs and private companies.

Enrolment in the Master’s is possible at any time of the academic year.

Send an email to internationalstudents@unitelmasapienza.it in order to verify your compliance with the Master’s admission requirements. Please enclose in your inquiry the following supporting documents:

  • copy of the Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree (in English);
  • if not available in English, translation of the above document into Italian;
  • “Declaration of Value”.

The Declaration of Value is an information document describing the qualification awarded to a given person by an institution belonging to an education system other than the Italian system. It generally contains the following information:

  • legal status and nature of the issuing institution;
  • access requirements for the programme leading to the academic degree;
  • legal duration of the study programme and/or overall commitment required in terms of credits or hours;
  • academic and/or professional value of the degree in the Country where it has been issued.

The Declaration of Value is an official document issued by the Italian Diplomatic Representation (Consulate or Embassy) in the country where the academic degree has been issued.

Foreign applicants interested in attending the Master’s program without the legal award of 60 ECTS are not required to submit the Declaration of Value. In this case, applicants will receive the certification of attendance to the Master’s after the completion of the project works and the thesis degree.

Faculty and tutorship

The Faculty is highly qualified in the field of international cooperation, finance and development. It includes professors and experts as follows: Dr. Nabylah Abo Dehman, professor Mario Carta, professor Andrea Carteny, Dr. Valeria Cirillo, Dr. Emanuela Ferreri, Dr. Dario Guarascio, Dr. Enrica Imbert, professor Francesca Romana Lenzi, Dr. Massimo Mamberti, professor Sergio Marchisio, professor Gabriele Natalizia, professor Roberto Pasca di Magliano, professor Daniel Pommier Vincelli.  The Director of the Master’s is Professor Roberto Pasca di Magliano, full professor of Growth Economics at Sapienza University and professor of Innovation Management at Unitelma Sapienza.  The Tutor, Dr. Andrea Ranelletti, will support students in all their activities, promoting discussion forums, activating webinars and supervising the elaboration of project works, assists participants in the Master. The Director and the Tutor will support students in the preparation of the final thesis.

Duration

The Master’s will last one year and grants 60 credits (ECTS) after passing the Master’s degree final exam. Access to the platform will be allowed for a period of twelve months from the date of enrolment.

Fees

The total enrolment fee for the Master is € 1.648,00 (including stamp duties). It can be paid in a single instalment or in three instalments, as follows:

  • First payment equal to € 648,00 (€ 600,00 + € 48,00 of stamp duties) to be settled when enrolling the Master;
  • Second payment equal to € 500,00 to be settled within 60 days from the enrolment date;
  • Third payment is equal to € 500,00 to be settled within 120 days from the enrolment date.

Payments can be made by Credit Card or Bank Transfer through this website.
The Master’s is not supported by any specific scholarship.
