Living Heritage Goes to School. Primary School Edition

The initiative

Living Heritage Goes to School – Primary School Edition was designed by the UNESCO Chair on Intangible Cultural Heritage and Comparative Law at UnitelmaSapienza in partnership with Associazione Genera. Hosted at the Scuola Primaria Paritaria “S. Paolo”, Istituto Suore Orsoline S.C.G.A. in Rome, the initiative brought intangible cultural heritage into the classroom through a hands-on workshop for primary school pupils. Starting from a video on tombolo bobbin lace and using educational cards developed by the UNESCO Chair, children explored the domains of intangible cultural heritage and reflected on the relationship between tangible heritage, living practices and community meanings.
